School bus falls into canal; ten students injured

THRISSUR: A school bus carrying students fell into a canal at Potta in Chalakudy on Thursday afternoon. The bus belonged to St. Joseph's School, Aloor, and was taking children home after school when the accident occurred.

According to initial reports, 10 students sustained injuries in the accident. They were admitted to a private hospital in Chalakudy for treatment.

None of the injuries is believed to be serious. The bus reportedly lost control and plunged into the Vazhakkunnu canal at Potta. Police and Fire and Rescue Services personnel reached the spot and carried out rescue operations.
