THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Murder case accused Akash Thillenkery, who is popular on social media, came out in support of Arjun Ayanki. Akash expressed his support through social media.
“He may have reacted emotionally after being implicated in a false case. The police are known for charging false cases, and it cannot be taken lightly. I stand with Arjun and his friends. This is not Bihar or UP to order the shooting of a citizen for committing a mistake. The government, which is supposed to protect the lives and property of the people, dares to call for the killing of a citizen, and it is a challenge to democracy. There is no compromise when the state unleashes terror to destroy human rights in a democracy. If the government chooses to respond with guns, the guns in your arsenal will not be enough,” wrote Akash on social media.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala denied reports that he instructed the police to shoot Arjun Ayanki in case of an emergency. The minister also said that the Home Department has not given any instructions to shoot in connection with the arrest of Arjun Ayanki.
