IndiGo cabin crew member dies in accident while returning home after duty

NEW DELHI: An IndiGo cabin crew member died in a road accident in Noida while returning home after completing her duty. The deceased was 34-year-old flight attendant Kainoor Mistry. The accident occurred when the cab arranged by the company collided with another vehicle while she was returning home after work in the early hours of the morning. She died at the spot.

Kainoor Mistry was known on social media as a model, dancer and travel vlogger. She suffered severe head injuries in the accident. Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and shifted her to a hospital, but she had already succumbed to her injuries. Her body has been shifted to the hospital for postmortem procedures.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. The preliminary assessment is that the accident occurred due to overspeeding. IndiGo Airlines and her colleagues expressed deep sorrow over the unexpected death of the cabin crew member. Kainoor Mistry, a native of Mira Road in Mumbai, was a single parent. She is survived by her eight-year-old son.

IndiGo had entrusted Mayuresh Tour and Travels with arranging transportation for its employees. A case has been registered against cab driver Vijay Khose for driving negligently and causing the death.
