20,000 free flight tickets up for grabs: Here's how you can get one

Travel plans may have just become a little more rewarding. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, IndiGo has announced a special campaign that will see 20,000 domestic flight tickets effectively offered free through a booking refund programme.

Introduced as part of the airline's 'Happy IndiGo Day' celebrations, the #IndiGoFree campaign will refund fares for selected travellers who book eligible domestic flights between August 4 and August 6, 2026, using IndiGo's direct booking platforms, including its official website, mobile app and AI virtual assistant, 6Eskai.

Rather than offering instant discounts, the airline will select winners through a lucky draw from all eligible bookings made during the promotional period. Those shortlisted will receive an email or WhatsApp message inviting them to answer a simple question. Travellers will have up to three attempts, and those who answer correctly will receive a refund of their booking fare—up to ₹10,000 per PNR.

The offer applies to domestic Economy Class and IndiGoStretch bookings, covering both one-way and return journeys. According to the airline, successful participants can expect the refund to be processed within three to five working days.

For travellers already planning a domestic getaway, the campaign offers an added incentive: book through IndiGo's direct channels during the promotional window, and your next trip could end up costing nothing at all.
